Hi, we have a scorecard that uses letters but equate to numbers. Example P = 7 then sum all for total? Thanks

Welcome to the board...

Build a lookup table that displayes the conversion of letter to corresponding #
Then you can use a sumproduct(lookup(..)) type formula
