I have a spreadsheet wherein two cells that use the same formula are returning different results. Furthermore, when I then subtract the two cells from each other, the result is zero! To make matters worse, when I change the precedent cells, sometimes the two cells show the same results, and for other precedent values they don't.

When I see things like this, I get very worried about the integrity of Excel results. If anyone can shed light on what might be going on, perhaps i can sleep better tonight!

Thanks - happy to send more data if need be.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Can you post the formula and some sample data?

i think the best way would be to send the entire spreadsheet. Would that be ok to send (not that familiar with this site)? Or should I send to you directly? Thanks, David

There's no option to upload here, but you could upload to a file-sharing site like Box.net and post a link here.

Does Circular References appear at the bottom left of the window, next to Ready?
