If you have multiple sheets in a workbook, does Excel recalculate the sheet front-to-back, or from back-to-front?

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
The order of dependencies seems to make a difference. But even if it didn't, at least the OP got some information.

Well yes, but I read your link but couldn't see what difference it made - I wouldn't be surprised if I've missed something.

Perhaps the OP could explain the purpose of his question and whether the link solved it.

My intent was to increase the speed of my multi-sheet workbook. Excel had it's own way of deciding which cells to calculate first, but the worksheets are calculated in alphabetical order, So, depending on how calculations use cells between worksheets changing the names of the sheets can speed things up. One of my sheet is now 4x faster.
