I am working on a spreadsheet and whenever I try doing something on the sheet the above error 'Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other applications' keeps coming up. Why is this and what can I do? I have closed all applications running but it still happens. Thanks.

Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.

I found out the culprit was an update KB2597166. Once removed all works ok, should anyone else come across this in the future.
