Excel Cell not calculting

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o> I</o> have a cell with the below formula in it. It’s a merge cell and it will not calculate unless I click F2 then click in the formula bar then enter. I have the same formula in a deferent cell and it calculates automat as it should. The setting in Excel Options are set to workbook calculation automatic. I’m at a complete loss please help!!

Check the formatting of the bad cell. I've had problems with formulas calculating before because the cell was formatted as text. If it is text try changing to General or even using the format painter from the good cell to copy formats over to the bad cell.

That was crazy I had to close Excel and reopen the program and it all worked.
