Hi all,

I am hoping someone can help me before I lose the will to live :( I have a spreadsheet where i am trying to compare stationary costs between 2 suppliers, i have 2 columns with the values entered for each product but would like to have a cell highlighted in green for example if less than the price in the other cell and red if greater.
I have tried to create a new rule with range of cells but i believe I may be going wrong in the formula I am entering!
Does anyone have a formula that could result in the formatting i require?
Many thanks in advance.

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.

Data range is B3:C7. Select range. Home tab --> Conditional formatting ---> New rule
Formula for red
=B3=MAX($B3:$C3)

Formula for Green
=B3=MIN($B3:$C3)
