dear all

i am trying to use icon set in conditional formatting to show the maximum value on numbers. but i want only check to appear , i dont want the "X" or any other icons to appear. so i need only the check to appear near to the maximum amount.

please advise.

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
dear steve

thanks for the assistance, actually i took your idea of using the Max and by avoiding using a Dummy column i did the below

- set a conditional formatting, by using "format all cells base on their Values , i used the Max formula
- now i set up another conditional formatting by using " format cells only that contains" and set it < MAX and check the box stop if true.

it works.

thanks.
