Hi All

I hope you are all well

Im hoping someone can help me with some Correlation formula

I have created a scatter plot with a trend line to so i can see some correlation between the 2 variables...

Problem im having is that in my ranges - there could be blanks and some values as 0 which i want to ignore..

So a couple of questions is

  1. How can i ignore 0s and blanks from chart
  2. How can i use the equation thats displayed in the trendline formula in the cells so i can reference it directly without having to update chart so i can easily ignore 0s and blanks from the Correl Function
  3. What is classed as a very good correlation, moderate and very weak?
Would you say Correll is the way to go or is there any other recommendations

Thank You So much

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
I tried to use this

=SLOPE(IF(AND(A1:A1000<>0,B1:B1000<>0),A1:A1000,B1000))

=INTERCEPT(IF(AND(A1:A1000<>0,B1:B1000<>0),A1:A1000,B1000))

=CORREL(IF(AND(A1:A1000<>0,B1:B1000<>0),A1:A1000,B1000))
