Excel Corrupted file

i have an excel file which was protected. somehow it got deleted. i recovered back the file using a software but i can not open it now. it gives the error file is corrupted. is there a way to recover the data??


i can mail the file if required.


pls help...!!!
 

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
this is a:
- file protection
- workbook protection
- sheet protection
- encrypted or not

(hope you know/remember password ;) - if not read forum rules)

post a link to shared file (googledrive, onedrive or any similar) but I don't promise anything

Starting in Safe Mode sometimes helps:

This method works for most Office versions on a Windows PC:

  • Find the shortcut icon for your Office application.
  • Press and hold the CTRL key and double-click the application shortcut.
  • Click Yes when a window appears asking if you want to start the application in Safe Mode.
