Hello,

I have an excel file that I've been using for a while, contains several macros and was working just fine. Today the file started crashing, will open and immediately shut down. After several tries, decided to use the disable macros function in the options and now the file opens but when clicking on the security warning to enable macros the file will crash again.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Open your file within Excel: Menu > File > Open > Recent Workbooks and hold down the Shift key when clicking on the file name. Macro's are enabled but will not execute automatically, so you're able to find out (in VBE) where things are going wrong.

The file opens the problems is when I click on enable content that crashes, see picture attached. What steps can I do to check what is causing the file to crash?

Did you open the file in the way as in my post #2?
Do you have a Workbook_Open event macro?
With Shift key pressed while opening your file the "Enable Content" button should open the file without launching a Workbook_Open / Workbook_Activate macro.
