Hi, everyone. I have an Excel workbook used to document surveys onboard ships. My coworkers use the same workbook. A lot of the data is obtained from builders records and the like and rarely or never changes. If I board a ship today I have to fill all that in - but somebody may well have done the same ship, and collected the same data, in some other port, on an earlier date.

What I'd like to be able to do is have a database of template data on my website. Before I leave for a job I open the workbook while online, and enter the name or registration number, and the static data is brought into the workbook if it's already on file. On returning, I go back online and the online template is created if it wasn't already there or updated if it was.

Whats the best way to approach this?
