Office Version

Platform
  1. Windows
Database: SQL Server
Front-end: Excel
Intended output: PowerPoint

Data:
Excel saves data to SQL Server, and also extracts data from SQL Server.

Required task:
This is a manufacturing environment, with over 200 production lines.
Requirement is to post production line status for each line on a big screen in the production area.
Need data to be refreshed, say, every 5 minutes.
Most likely they have to be in separate slides with, say, 40 production lines per slide.

What I can do:
I can query for the required data from SQL Server.

What I need help with:
1. How to automatically re-query every 5 minutes
2. How to post those data to PowerPoint

Anyone can provide some clues?

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
