Hi

I have a cell where users enter a date. I can set the validation criteria to allow only data formats - that's fine... but I want to set up validation rule on the cell to only allow dates that are a Friday.

TIA

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Use the Custom (formula) option of Data Validation, like this (for an entry in cell M1):
Excel Formula:
=WEEKDAY(M1)=6
