Hi all! I am trying to create an excel file that will allow multiple users to edit. In this program I want each cell to have a drop down menu that corresponds to the column header as well as a timestamp when each row was entered.

Is there any way to do this in Excel? If so how?

Or are there any other programs that could handle something of this nature?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Welcome to the Board!

For multiple users I'd go with the Excel web app, which can be collaborative, but it doesn't support VBA, so no timestamp. It does support data validation though, so you can have dropdowns.

The best bet for a multi-user environment is Access, and it's relatively easy to set up a bound form based on a table.
