Ok, I have created a drop down list with about 500 part #'s, all numerical, 9 digit numbers(random sequences), sorted the list and it works ok, but I have the following issues:
  1. You cannot click on the cell and it show the list, you have to click the arrow button.
  2. You cannot start the list at a given # by typing the first number in the part #, you have to click the arrow button and scroll thru all the #'s.
  3. When you click the arrow button, the list pops up, but the font size is so small it is very difficult to read the numbers.
The drop down list is for the part #, and the next column is a v-look up for the description, which all work ok except for the above issues.
Help me please.

Kev, you have described some of my pet peeves with the data validation dropdown box. Sad to have to tell you, but I'm afraid it is working the way they built it. As far as I know there is nothing you can do about any of those issues. (I would LOVE to be proven wrong however, fingers crossed....)
