Excel Duplicate & Sequence numbers

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out a formula to do the following:

I have dataset as attached and I would like to assign sequence numbers in the second column using a formula. I need to identify duplicates in column C and then assign 0001 to the first record, and 0002 to the second record etc..

Any help will be appreciated!
