When I go to File>Send To...>Mail Recipient (As Attachment) I am getting the following errors:

Operation Failed

When I click the ok button I get:

General mail failure. Quit Microsoft Office Excel, restart the mail system, and try again.

I followed these instructions and got the same errors. I went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2003. When I did this it worked fine for about half a day. Now it is back to doing the same thing. Has anyone ever seen or have any advice they can offer on these errors?

Thanks in advance.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Have you tried a Detect and Repair? (under the Help menu)

When you did the reinstall, did you delete the Application Data folder before reinstalling? Also, are you on an Exchange server?

Reinstalled yesterday around noon EDT. Didn't do anything special to the Application Data folder and yes, I am on an exchange server.

You might try closing Excel, renaming the Excel11.xlb file in the C:\documents and settings\username\application data\microsoft\excel folder as Excel11.xlb.old and then restart Excel and see if that helps.
Incidentally, which registry entries did you check?

I appreciate the time you are putting in on this. Changing the file name didn't help. Still getting the same error. As for the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem

Checked:
MAPI
CMC
CMCDLLNAME
CMCDLLNAME32
MAPIX
MAPIXVER
OLEMessaging

Everything was as I read it should be.
