Greetigns all:
When opening an excel file, the data smears on display... that is, when the file opens, the data and charts all stay in place, and if I scroll with the mouse , the image that was showing on the screen smears across the screen.

I'm unable to access the Excel file to update or change data, because I can't see what I'm doing. The smeared data covers all the screen, and all tabs.

I've cleared the temporary data files, and cleaned the hard drive. This fixed the issue (or the issue didn't reoccur for several months) after I took these steps. But it is back, and I'm stuck with a file I can't see because of the smears.

Any recommendations?

Anyone else ever run into this?

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
I have never seen this before. Is it only with Excel? Or does this happen with other programs as well? Is it just one file? What if you open the file on a different computer? Have you tried repairing the file?

I know that, at least in previous versions of Excel, Excel used your printer's driver to redraw the screen... maybe your printer driver is corrupt?
