I wrote a long macro in an excel document. I saved it and closed it. Now, when I open the document it just hour glasses. I have tried to open in on several computers and the same issue. Is the file corrupt, or is the macro too long that it cannot process it? If so, is there any possible way of retrieving the data? It took me 4 hours to write ;x Help please I beg you.

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
Does it have event code like Workbook_Open that runs when you open the file? If so try holding down the Shift key when opening it to disable the code.

Not still hour glasses. There is an Workbook_Open macro in the spreadsheet. But, I don't have it scheduled to run upon opening. It only will run if I manually run it or select the button to run it. I tried the shift option and no go. Any other ideas?

Thanks I'll try those. If anyone can come up with any other fixes let me know. Most appreciated.
