I am trying to find a way to disable the fill down in excel.

I.E
where you have a list of numbers (1 2 3 4) and you click the little black square on the cell selection and it continues the sequence. I do not ever require it to continue the sequence. i would like it to copy the sequience (1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4) and so on

is there any way to disable this.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Excel defaults to that behavior using the left mouse button when you fill. However, what you can do is to press the right mouse button down instead when you are filling. Then, when you reach your end destination cell and release the right mouse button, a special menu will pop up. From that menu, left click on "Copy cells" and see if that gets you what you want.
