Excel Formula Question

Is there a formula that will search a cell for letters A-Z, if the cell contains any letters, it returns a value. I'm searching thousands of employee numbers and need to list any employee numbers that contain letters (A-Z) as contractors and numbers that are only numerical as employees. I can't seem to get it to work the way I am entering it.
