excel Formula - sum only visible cells with multiple criteria

Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
That's exactly what the formula you linked to does.

Note that "SUMPRODUCT" was what we used to used to do "SUMIFS" before "SUMIFS" existed!
While SUMIFS exists now, there are still some more complex situations that will require you to use SUMPRODUCT instead.

Basically, any formula that you come up with using COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, SUMIF, or SUMIFS can also be done with SUMPRODUCT.
But SUMPRODUCT is more flexible, and can do more complex calculations.
