Hello. I have a sheet that has multiple cells containing various amounts and use a simple formula to get a value. I can enter a value in A1 and it will subtract A2:A5 from A1 and give me the result in B1. What I need though is a formula that will tell me what value to enter in A1 to always get a result of 5 in B1. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for any help.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
What is the formula you entered in B1?
