I need a formulas to randomly pick 10% of a number of cells in the same columb and shade those picked.Can anyone help

Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
One idea :biggrin:

Use an extra column and put random numbers in there with the random formula.

Then use this column to shade 10% of them ( 20 biggest numbers of 200 or so).
Use LARGE formula in Conditional formatting for that.
