Hi all - I am plotting decimal places on the x-axis. Is there a way to make it such that the x-axis has a consistent interval?

ie. 1-2-3-4-5-6...

So if there are multiple data points between 1 and 2 (eg. 2.1, 2.2, 2.3), then they would all appear within that band. Right now on my graph, it seems like excel assigns a space to each data point?

Thanks.

Hi

You forgot to post:
- a table with values
- what kind of chart you are using
so that we can test.

Anyway, from what you posted, I'd say you are using a type of chart that sees X-Axis values as text values.
In this case if you plot x values like 1, 7 and 7.1, they will be seen as just strings and will display equally spaced.
You have to choose a type of chart that accepts x values as numbers, for ex. scatter.
