This is baffling: Excel 2007 hangs/crashes when I use editing commands. This happens with the following actions (and many others probably):
- changing cell contents to bold from the ribbon
- changing cell contents to bold with ctrl+b
- changing font sizes
- changing alignment
- printing
etc., etc.

This happens with existing spreadsheets, both .xls and .xlsx, and newly created spreadsheets.

This only happens with one user (we're on a Microsoft SBS system) on one computer. Other users use the Excel on that machine without problems and that user can use Excel on other machines without problems.

There are ribbon commands that work fine, e.g., filtering and sorting.

I have tried the following solutions to no avail:
-MS Office diagnostics tool
-deleting the user's .xlb file
-unregistering Excel and letting it re-register itself at start up
-deleting all settings files for the user and recreating them at re-login
-completely uninstalling and reinstalling Office
The single user on a single machine part of this baffles me.

In the Office-specific error reporting, I gathered the following information:
EventType: Officelifeboathang
P1: excel.exe
P2: 12.0.6524.5003
P3: ntdll.dll
P4: 5.1.2600.5755
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
