Hi Guys,

I have two columns A & B (Job Id and Status), status is a VLOOKUP in a seperate tab. Now this os the scenario I have.
Say we have 500 jobs of mixed status (Ready, Not Ready), how do we know what jobs have changed from Not Ready to Ready when the data is refreshed. I have a long winded way which is to use C as the vlookup and B as a paste special values, then d as formula very messy. Is there any easy way to do this in your opinion.

Thank you for your time,
Richard Baker

You would have to retain the history somehow in order to have something to compare it to. It seems like the method you proposed should work all right. You can create a macro to automate those steps to make it rather painless to run.

You can use the Macro Recorder to get most of the VBA code you would need to create the macro to do this. It might just then require a little bit of "clean-up" to make the macro more dynamic. We can help you with that part if you post the code you have and explain what you would like changed about it.
