Excel how to measure couple of merged cells

Hi

I am looking to create a label @ work and what I have been doing I merged couple of cells say I2-N2

How can I measure the length of the merged cell (horizontally and vertically ) to adjust accordingly to see if a label fit in a plastic pouch before printing it ?

What I am doing now try and error till I get the right dimensions

Better to do with cells that are not merged. The width and height are for the individual row / column, not the selection if merged.

Go to File > Options > Advanced > Display > Ruler units. Change as required.

Go to the View tab and choose 'Page layout'.

Resize as necessary. If you insist on merged cells then you will need to set each row / column that is merged individually in order that they add up to the desired width / height.
