I am limited in my work environment as to what I can change, but I'm having a serious issue with my spreadsheets incorrectly interpreting dates. I noticed it when dealing with it in this thread http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-questions/854863-find-date-list-return-static-cell-value.html, but didn't think too much about it. Now I've actually seen that when I enter May 29 (today's date), Excel returns 1-May in the cell and 01/05/2029 in the entry bar.
When I go in to custom to rearrange the date the way I want (mmm-dd), I see that the month I enter is being interpreted by Excel as the year and vice versa.
How do I fix this? It's driving me mad!!
