I hate how when I copy something, then type something else or press delete to make room for it, by the time I press Edit-Paste, Excel has forgotten what I copied to the clipboard. Excel's memory is worse than that of my 99-year old grandmother.

Is there any setting (or hack, maybe) that will get Excel to store items in its clipboard longer, and not delete them upon my typing something else?

Thanks very much,
-Phil

You will not have that problem if it's copied to the floating toolbar. :p

Have you got an option for Clipboard in VIEW>TOOLBAR

Phil, try using Clipboard In Edit>Office clipboard. (It is there in Excel 2003and not sure of older versions, please check)
