Hello,

I'm new to this macro thing but i think it would be really useful.

What i'm trying to do is create a macro which will screen capture from another window, lets say yahoo finance to capture a stock chart. Then i'd like to put the image in excel. Excel will then resize the image. I'd like for the program to then go back to the website...click on a link and screen captures again. repeat process.

I have the pasting in Excel and resizing part down. But i seem to have difficulty finding out how i can get an excel macro to switch between another program and screen capture.

I was thinking if there is a command to move the mouse to a certain position and click, that would work...or if there is a more specific command that would be great.

I appreciate all your help.
Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
How do you open the web page? If its URL (and that of the chart) is fixed, you could embed a picture in Excel that is linked to the original yahoo picture?

You may also want to browse around the service's web page for other options that would suit you better. It's quite possible that a tabular version of the data, with a fixed url would be available, and you can use "Data > Get External Data > Run Web Query". (pl. see help on web query.)
