Hello, I'm a macro newbie so go easy on me and assume i'm an AVERAGE 9 yr old. lol.

Ok.. I have a sheet with miltiple tabs. Employee A through H. All tabs have similar column info. Column A = Date / B = id number / C = Name / .... J = (second Date.)... All starting at Row 9 - 1000.

I need to pull all info from each tab based on dates to tab "Reporting". If I need to pull 8/15/2010 I need the macro to search all tabs through both columns A & J and pull the info on each row associated with it. I will need to change the date on which to pull the info.

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Welcome to the Board!

Take a look at using AutoFilter. If that narrows down the lists enough for you then you can record a macro doing it on one sheet. Post back the code that you get and someone can tweak it for all of the sheets.

The reason that this is difficult, is that the sheet is shared and the employee tabs are all protected from everything except logging info.

That could be a problem, because you can't programmatically unprotect a shared workbook.

Well, the cells that i'm pulling from aren't protected. I'm just trying to save time from copying / pasting every sheet into the "Reporting" tab everyday. I'd like to just click a button and just have the macro pull all the info. Even it it pulls ALL the info from the seperate sheets, I can filter myself after I have it all on the final tab.

Your best bet is to start by recording a macro for one sheet, then if that works, post back what you get so someone can tweak it for you.
