Excel Macros don't save new edits.

I created a spreadsheet with a module that contains a VB macro. Saved it and then loaded it. All worked fine. Then I needed to update the macro. Saved it. Opened the spreadsheet and the old, un-edited macro appears. The new macro changes are lost. Why can't I save the new edits to my macro? Using Excel 2010.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I'm sure. I've even save the new macro edits w/spreadsheet under a different name and it saves the sheet with the old unedited macro.
