Excel memory problem?

Hi all,

I have a worksheet with approximately 4200 hex autoshapes linked to cells, I can update the cells without any problem but the autoshapes will only update twice then freeze, the cells can continue to be updated.

The only way around this is to close and reopen the workbook. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and if so how to fix it?
