HI All,

I have the following formula

MONTH(NOW())

however this returns for eg 10 for Oct.

is there anyway of changing this to return Oct instead of 10?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
awesome thanx, now one last question in the below vlookup how do I get the formula to combine this result with a constant? (in this case ' 11')

=VLOOKUP(A1,(CHOOSE(MONTH(NOW()),"Jan","Feb","Mar","Apr","May","Jun","Jul","Aug","Sep","Oct","Nov","Dec") &' 11'!A1:B2),2,FALSE)

So the month name represents a sheet name?

Like this...

=VLOOKUP(A1,INDIRECT("'"&TEXT(NOW(),"mmm")&" 11'!A1:B2"),2,0)
