Hi I am looking for a code that will move rows dependent on cell values.

It is technically a project tracking sheet with different project steps, ideally I would love if a code can move rows up based on column entry (completed project steps)

Project rows start at row 7 to row 500, with the first step of the project beginning on column H to P (project steps).

With each subquent step "completion" - would like to see if the rows move up automatically.

Not sure if this is possible either - would we be able to incorporate row color changes? such as dark grey if the first step is marked complete and vice versa?

Appreciate all your help in assisting me - have been watching a few videos trying to formulate a code with no luck.

Thanks in advance!!

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Moving rows up or down is not really standard practice.

Is there a way in which you can have a column, that can be hidden, that can be sorted on that presents the rows in the right order.

Is there a logical order in which the project steps need to be actioned.

Hi, thanks for your reply

Yes can have hidden column

There are 7 project steps: Partner Aligned -> Primer Completed -> Outreach Completed -> Agreed by Client --> Initial Client Presentation --> Follow up --> Complete

If each of these was given a number which you could look up using a vlookup to a lookup table the number could be used in a sort routine.

Alternatively, store the number in the main sheet and look up the description.

1: Partner Aligned
2: Primer Completed
3: Outreach Completed
4: Agreed by Client
5: Initial Client Presentation
6: Follow up
7: Complete

Would this give you the rows in the right order?
