Excel - No Longer Auto Loads A File

Hi

My excel I all of a sudden stopped auto-loading any files when I choose to open it from the windows desktop. When I double-click on the file Excel opens but the file dosen't open. I have to manually open it from the File menu or from the recent files menu.

Any ideas?

Tools > Options. Make sure that Ignore other applications is not ticked.

VoG that was it!!!!!!!!!!

I've been using it like that for the last fews months and it has been doing my head in.

Must have accidentally checked it when I was fiddling with the options.
