Excel Not Responding

Hello Guys,

I am using an excel that has got a lot of date on it containing customer prices but the issue which am facing is that every time I open, add something, search something or save something it takes ages for excel to do that task it goes to not responding straight away.Also, when i try to delete an entire column it gives me an error that excel is not capable of performing this operation due to limited resources.I am not using even one third of the sheet where as excel is designed to handle millions of rows of data.Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated,
