Excel opens a 2nd WorkBook

Each time a saved WorkBook is opened, it now opens a blank 2nd WorkBook from the XLSTART folder.

How do I cease this 2nd blank WorkBook from opening ?

You probably have a blank workbook in that folder. Move it out of the "XLSTART" folder or delete it.

I should have added to the first post, the name of the WorkBook is always called PERSONAL
When I do a search the folder is empty.

When I do a "Save As" for PERSONAL it directs it to be saved in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\XLStart

If this is a clue, it may have something to do when I used to save the files with backup option.
No longer use this option, and since then it has been opening the 2nd WorkBook.
The other clue is, it may have something to do with TEMPLATES, was messing with this to, have looked in settings but not sure what to look for.
