When I copy multiple slides in Powerpoint to the clipboard and try to
paste them into Excel spreadsheet, it only pastes the first slide. Is
there a way to paste all of the slides in the clipboard to an Excel
spreadsheet?

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
The only way I can think of (and probably isn't much quicker), is to do a Save As - save as JPG or GIF and will be asked if you want to save all the slides or just the first one. If you save them all, Go to where they are saved to and you can insert all the ones you want in one go.

Thanks for your help. Using <Save As> and inserting into Excel as a JPG/GIF file does work but all of the ppt editing features within the slide
are lost in the conversion. I need to be able to re-insert the slide in Excel
back into ppt when required with all its editing features.

As far as I can see, using Paste Special - Paste as Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Object and choosing Paste Link would save you having to take them back to PowerPoint to edit, you could edit them in PowerPoint and the changes should update in Excel. But as for the original problem, sorry I can't see a way around it.
