Excel Question

Hi friends,
In excel sheet A1 is + (plus) and B1 is - (minus), multiplication in c1 should be - (minus) or
A1 is + (plus) and B1 is + (plus), multiplication in c1 should be + (plus) or
A1 is - (minus) and B1 is - (minus), multiplication in c1 should be + (plus) what is the formula.
I am not using Numeric values, only signs - and +
If possible please guide me.
