Excel Removes U

When i type MYU into a cell in excel it drops the U every time does anyone know what this is caused by? or how i stop it from doing this?

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

It must be in your AutoCorrect list. You can remove that one (go to Tools | AutoCorrect), browse to the line that changes "MYU" to "MY" and delete it.

MYU is an entry in the AutoCorrect list which Excel is assuming that you mean "My".

Go to Tools>AutoCorrect Options and disable that particular auto correct to stop it happening.
