Excel STRING - delete space from within string

I am working with Excel 2003. Column 'B', data type TEXT, contains enteries that may have spaces within - example (2C 1245K78). I want to delete the space. I want to go from 2C 1245K78 to 2C1245K78.

Try using Edit > Replace to replace a space with nothing

=SUBSTITUTE(B1," ",""), copied down

Select column B and use Edit>Replace to replace spaces by nothing.
