Hi guys,

Do you know if it's possible to limit an Excel timeline to only show the dates that are in your data?

My data is only from Jan 2020 to June 2020 but when I insert a timeline, it gives the option to select back to Jan 2019 - obviously if my user selects any month in 2019 all my pivot tables show nothing as there is no data from then.

Is there any way for the timeline to show only relevant values i.e. Jan-June 2020? Can't seem to find anything about it. Seems silly for Microsoft to include this as the default option

When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Scrap that, it's me being an idiot, thanks for all your responses!
