Hello all

I have one speadsheet with 3 tabs. Tab 1 contains around 800 lines of our master account and tab 2 contains a small number of these accounts. Tab 3 is blank. What I am looking to do is cross reference tabs 1 & 2 for recurring data. If any detail comes up more than once I'd like to copy the entire line from tab one and paste it into tab 3.

Is this possible... If so how??

Many thanks

ok, if you have these data in tab1
Book1
ABCDEFG
1
2AAA
3BBB
4CCC
5AAA
6AAA
7BBB
8CCC
9AAA
Sheet1

and on tab2
Book1
ABCDEFG
1
2AAA
3BBB
4CCC
5
6
7
Sheet2

after running the code you will got this
Book1
ABCDEFG
1
2AAA
3AAA
4AAA
5AAA
6BBB
7BBB
8CCC
9CCC
Sheet3

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Hi

This is exactly what I am looking for but all of the line as well as column G moved to tab 3.

As there are many codes on here now which one is the correct string and I will try it now.

Thanks

Hi, for some reason this only moves one line and not all of the duplicated lines.

If you drop me your e-mail address via PM I will send the spreadsheet through as it should clear things up your end

Thanks

Steve
