Good Morning All,

I'm entirely new to VBA and find myself in need of some help. I'm looking for some code which will add a text to a file name based on a particular action.

Let's say my file name is File1.xls, I'm looking for someone to authorise this file using the Signature Line option (I'm in Excel 2007), upon which I would like the file name to update to File1_Approved.xls.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Simon

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

Not sure about 2007, I have 2003, but maybe this could help you get started.

Code:
Sub SimonP()
Dim x As String
x = ActiveWorkbook.Name & "_Approved" & ".xls"
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs x
End Sub
