Hopefully a quick question.

In my sheet I was playing around with some activex controls for a certain function.

When I realised what a headache all the warnings were on startup, especailly as this workbook needs to be distributed I quickly got rid of them all and reverted to standard shape.buttons, deleting all the code linked with the Ax.

The problem is, I'm still getting the startup warnings, sheet running in protected mode on new machines and me having to alter the trust centre, which is 1. not feasible for mutiple machines and 2. seriously not wise! does anyone have any ideas how I can get Excel to realise there are no activex controls or code linked with activex running?

Thankyou1

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Did you save the workbook as an xlsx file if there's no code in it anymore?

Oh theres still loads of code, but rather than just getting the enable macros bar on a new machine. The workbook will not load unless protected mode in the trust center is disabled and even then you get two very nasty looking "Microsoft Office has identifided a potential security conern" Warning every time the workbook is loaded

And you're absolutely certain you have removed all the activex controls?
