Excel won't show zero in cell?!

I've had this happen on a few sheets in some of my excel workbooks. Basically if I enter or have a formula that needs to show a 0 (zero), the cell comes up blank.

I've tried changing the Number category/format to no avail.

Anyone know how to fix this?

thanks!

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.

Depending on what version of Excel you have, you could check the settings in Tools/Options/View and make sure that the Zero Values checkbox is ticked.

ahh, that was it!

is there a reason why some sheets in a workbook would have that disabled and others would have it enabled?

how would it get disabled anyway?

thanks!!

wait, now it shows 0 instead of blank text for formulas that should show blank text...

Show the formula causing the problem.
