I'm looking for a zoom tool which allows me to see the changes in the zoom item while I'm typing.
I envisage highlighting one or more cells, clicking a macro button and then having a magnified image which allows me to (1) keep editing and also (2) shows the changes made in real time.
Has anyone seen anything like this?

These links are useful but none have what I'm looking for exactly.

- VBA Express : Excel - Zoom in on sheet when a specific range is selected

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Excel zoom feature will zoom the entire sheet not just a selection range.

Is that what your wanting to just Zoom a certain range which you select?

Just a selection.
Typically one cell, sometimes up to 4 cells.

The 2nd link you provided does just that...lets you keep editing AND shows the changes...BUT...the code as supplied only applies to cell A2, it can be modified to other ranges though

But this magnifies the whole sheet.

Yep.....sure does and Excel won't let you do it any other way !!!
It's the whole sheet or nothing !

BUT
what does it matter, if once you move away from that range, the sheet goes back to normal ??

From the way I read the script in the second link it Zooms the entire sheet not just a particular Range like the user is asking for.

Would increasing the font size work for you. We can write a script to increase font size for selection.

You can't zoom a range !
But when zoom is activated the selection remains the focus.

@My Answer Is This, post #8:
Increasing the font size may be useful but one the examples in the original post had this in mind.
