I have made in excel format our outgoing quality assurance report which has following key fields

1. Invoice Number

2. Lot Number

3. Item Name

I derive to write a small programme in Access or excel and open the workbook by invoice number or lot number or item name.

so, please advise how to link access to excel or one workbook to another workboook.

From inside Access, you can link Excel workbooks by going to the Table section and going to File | Get External Data | Link Tables.
